New Gym Construction Update – June 2025

UPDATE: June 13, 2025

Spring was productive at the new gym worksite!

On the outside, the final roof material is coming soon, and the base layers of stucco are up and curing. The next layer will be the last, tinted in complementary shades of light tan.

On the inside, utilities are finished, drywall is up, and we’re starting to see how big 6,500 square feet really is!

The floor, the doors, the solar, and all the other finishing touches will be here soon, while new crews come in to extend the accessibility ramp all the way from the F building.

UPDATE: April 11, 2025

Spring is here and the roof  is almost complete.

The crews have been onsite throughout winter months, building the exterior to the exacting standards of the California DSA.

This facility is designed with a volleyball-height ceiling, a ticket booth, plenty of seating, and three bathrooms!

As always, many thanks to Design West Architects and Boyer Construction for their professionalism in all phases of this project.

We are still on track for completion in August 2025.

UPDATE: January 10, 2025

Happy New Year! The walls are going up on our new gym, and we’re so excited to see the progress!

The crews have also been working on underground utilities, and so far, the weather is cooperating.

Completion is projected for August 2025.

UPDATE: November 21, 2024

Our new gym is finally taking shape.

Since August, crews have been coming in one by one to complete the excavation, soil tests, site prep, utilities, and now the foundation is complete.

Steel beams and trusses are being installed next, and by the time we return from Thanksgiving break, we’ll start to see the walls go up.
