2025 Veterans Day Assembly

Presented by our own Mr. Jannuzzi

Veterans Day Assembly Honors Service and Sacrifice

Our school held a special Veterans Day Appreciation Assembly this week to honor those who have served our country. We were joined by Mr. Ron Jannuzzi, a Navy veteran and retired SES teacher, who returned to share his experiences with students from 3rd through 8th grades.

The event began with a heartfelt performance of “You’re a Grand Old Flag” by our second graders, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by all students. Mr. Jannuzzi shared photos from his time in Vietnam and spoke about his service, the importance of the United States flag, and ways students can use their day off to show appreciation for veterans in their own communities. He also introduced his trained dog, Roxy, who delighted everyone by showing off some of her tricks.

In addition to Mr. Jannuzzi, we were proud to recognize two staff members and one parent who have also served in the military.

The assembly concluded with a touching slideshow featuring photos of veterans and active service members connected to our staff. It was a meaningful event that reminded everyone of the courage and dedication of those who protect our freedoms.
